Excellent well stocked Indian store. It has several brands of rice, lentils, spice mixes. Fresh okra and moringa leaves. Location is kind of scary haha. But it's not so scary just a few blocks away.

Nice store for Indian groceries including fresh vegetables, almost all packed Indian foods, snacks and frozen food. The store is always well stocked with different brands and options for packed food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have also added small buffet. The food is fresh and tastes great. The samosas are delicious.

Best kept lunch secret in the world!! You get a monstrous portion of rice (either white basmati or biryani(??) which is a spicy rice with big chunks of chicken in it) with 2 sides. I always get the tikka masala. Today i also got the curry cauliflower/potatoes. They are both amazing!! When i got back to work I weighed it. It came in at just over 3 pounds of food. This is lunch for today and tomorrow! and the price? $7.99!!!

A nice addition to the hartford neighborhood is the Royal Indian grocery store. This store reminds me of Cosmos on Farmington Ave in so many ways, but I kinda prefer this place for a couple of reasons - 1. the store is very spacious and has a lot of isles to navigate thru when compared to Cosmos and 2. the Indian food sold are made fresh by the owners In the kitchen at the back of the store. The owners are very friendly and the prices are nominal.

I went here today. I would recommend it to anyone in the hartford area looking for SPICES or specific Indian ingredients for cooking. Personally, I picked up some ghee, but I will be back to get at their spices and lentils - very reasonable prices for those! Red lentils were $5 for a five pound bag. They have tons of whole spices. Everyone who worked here was extremely nice -- not only did they ask if they could help me find anything, but at the register they also have a sign saying "please let us know if we can help you find anything". I usually go to Cosmos, but I thought this place was very nice, spacious and well organized. Worth a visit, absolutely!
